This detailed and comprehensive course will integrate knowledge to enable students to provide routine dental care for dogs and cats. An in depth study of the oral cavity and its associated structures, identification and treatment of disease processes will be discussed. Concepts including legal issues and the safe use, care and maintenance of dental equipment and client education which will permit the skilled Veterinary Technician to carry out a complete dental prophylaxis will be studied. A brief study of lagomorphs, rodent and ferret oral cavities will be included.
