Gerontology Field Work

This course serves as the practicum component for the Social Services Worker Gerontology Program. Agencies providing services to seniors host student practicum placements. The practicum provides students with the opportunity to integrate and apply the knowledge and skills learned through previous coursework to service provision with seniors in an agency setting. Under supervision, students will perform a variety of social service work duties agreed upon by the agency, the College and the student and in accordance with MTCU and OCSWSSW standards.
