In this course, students examine the anatomy of criminal offences against the person, property and/or public order. Students will apply learned theory and related course content to identify offences related to commonly experienced police occurrences through a variety of role-play exercises. Using principles of logical analysis and critical thinking, students will formulate offence elements, identify and discuss facts in issue, and combine these with applicable legal principles to argue or defend decisions.
