Society has come to recognize that personal and collective wellness is essential to an enhanced quality of life. This course introduces the student to the concepts of wellness and provides practical strategies for developing a healthy lifestyle in preparation for a career in the fields of law and justice. Students through lectures practical experience and self-evaluation will explore such issues as: occupational assessment in the fields of law and justice wellness physical fitness muscular strength and endurance flexibility body composition self-responsibility and social interaction. The student will create strategies to develop design and implement an effective personal fitness program as well as strategies for successful achievement of Bona Fide Fitness Requirement Standards in the fields of law and justice. Students will be introduced to PREP PARE and FITCO Testing.
