Working with Tri-Council, St. Clair College is committed to ensuring our research community operates from a strong, ethical foundation.
With the release of the updated Tri-Council Policy Statement 2-CORE-2022, a training tool was launched: the Course on Research Ethics (CORE) Tutorial.
Adhering to the TCPS2 guidelines helps foster a community of conscientious researchers who carry out research in an ethically sound environment and are aware of how to ethically conduct research involving humans.
All members of the Research Ethics Board shall obtain and submit a copy of their TCPS2: CORE-2022 certificate prior to October 1st, 2022.
Previously, all ethics applications required the CORE Tutorial certificate to be attached with the submission. Please note that as of January 1st, 2023, any new REB applications will require the TCPS2 CORE-2022 tutorial certificate for each member of the research team to be submitted.
Researchers must self-register (please use your institution's email address) and complete the tutorial.
Once the tutorial is complete and you are issued a certificate, include your certificate in your application in REB.
