Big shoutout to our 2nd year Practical Nursing students who had an enriching experience learning about mental health services in our community! We had the honour of being joined by two incredible community partners, Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare and Canadian Mental Health Association.
Mental health does not discriminate, and former NHL goaltender Corey Hirsch is living proof.
"There was a day, a time in my life where I couldn't see a tomorrow," Hirsch said during a recent stop at St. Clair College during his mental health advocacy tour. "I had to look up to see rock bottom."
The Ontario government is providing a total of $729,389 to help increase access to mental health and addiction services for students enrolled at the various campuses of St. Clair College and the University of Windsor.
The Centre for Campus Innovation in Campus Mental Health (CICMH) successfully brought together post-secondary institutions and community organizations, to champion campus mental health. Attendees utilized the unique platform to showcase impactful initiatives, paving the way for potential partnerships and exploring new avenues for growth and synergy.
