"Everyone has infinite potential. Never give up and believe in yourself."
That's the message Lynn Thai wrote on a placard and shared to be displayed at St. Clair College during the annual Bell Let's Talk Day.
"I feel like in life, the most important thing is to do what you enjoy the most and find your own happiness," said Thai, a third-year student in the Animation program.
"Everyone has a chance to become a better version of themselves," said Thai. "You're going to go to a dark place sometimes, but if you're able to make it out of it, then I think you'll be able to grow as a person and be able to chase what you want do."
It was one of many messages shared by students, highlighting positivity and support for the college community around mental health awareness.
Bell Let's Talk Day has been an ongoing annual initiative since 2011, where Canadians and people around the globe have joined in the world's largest conversation around mental health.
"Together we have taken big steps to reduce the stigma around mental health issues, inspire one another to take action, and help create a Canada where everyone can access the mental health support they need. But it is clear more needs to be done," said Jeffrey McEwan, a member of the St. Clair College Wellness Committee.
