Resource Sharing Guidelines
Purpose:
This free service is available to St. Clair College students, faculty and staff to borrow materials from other Ontario Community College Libraries. In meeting patron needs, our library will exhaust local holdings before requesting items for resource sharing. St. Clair College library will not infringe on their own or another institution's licensing agreements or defy Copyright Law.
Search all Ontario College Libraries: https://librarysearch.stclaircollege.ca/
- Type in your search (subject, author, or title) and enter.
- If St. Clair library does not own a copy, toggle at right to:
“Expand My Results”. - Click on request. If you are not logged into MYSTCLAIR, you will be prompted to log in with your St. Clair Credentials.
- Fill out the Resource Sharing Request Form.
Loan Period:
Local requests will be governed by the loan requirements of the other institution. Materials sent to or from St. Clair College will have a two week loan period. Depending on availability, it may take a minimum of 7 business days for an item to arrive. Students or staff will be notified by e-mail when the material arrives from another college. Renewals must be requested before the due date.
Loan Restrictions:
St. Clair College library will not permit the following materials to be loaned to other colleges:
- Unique, newly acquired or high demand items
- Course reserve
