Cultural anthropology is the study of living peoples, their beliefs, practices, values, ideas, technologies, and more. This course provides a general introduction to the field of social and cultural anthropology through an analysis of topics such as language, economics, sexuality, marriage, kinship, social structure, politics and religion. In addition, relevant issues such as body piercing, body art and culture shock will be discussed.
