The student will learn proper procedures to compound sterile products including placebo cytotoxic preparations. The student will be introduced to the concepts of sterility and incompatibilities. They will use applicable quality assurance processes and will perform their work in accordance with the laws, regulations, and standards that govern the preparation of sterile pharmaceutical products., The student will learn health and safety when compounding regular and cytotoxic sterile products as well as the maintenance and proper disposal of all medications and waste materials that their production generates. The compounding of sterile products will include a variety of, hospital setting parenterals, using extensive math calculations.
