Climbing & Pole Framing Techniques

Students will safely perform practical skills required in the powerline field. They will practice pole and ladder climbing and rescue techniques using approved safety equipment. They will practice identify and assemble line hardware components. Students will practice drilling holes, using various methods, and attaching pole line hardware while working aloft. They will use a variety of ropes and rope assemblies to practice tying knots, installing rope guys, raising and lowering objects while working aloft. They will also demonstrate proper rope handling and storage procedures.
