Ambulance Field Consolidation

This course provides the opportunity for students to receive continuing practical experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in actual emergency patient care situations within the community. Under the direct supervision of a paramedic crew the student will review, participate in and analyze emergency situations, which will form a basis for professional practice in the future. Students will gain experience in the administration of advanced life support procedures applied to patients. Students will also gain experience working with Advanced Care Paramedics. During this consolidation period students will further develop and refine the skill and knowledge base required for professional practice in the field as a paramedic.
