This course is the second of two courses addressing the study of rehabilitation. Students will survey scientific research methods and evidence based practice in the field of rehabilitation. and examine the role of rehabilitation and the ethics and legislation associated with rehab practice. Vital signs and the measurement thereof are studied and practiced. Chain of infection and infection control relevant to the differing OTA & PTA work environments are explored and practiced. Finally, students will review requirements and expectations of the fieldwork placement, providing orientation with respect to upcoming clinical practice.
