The course is designed to give students an opportunity to apply sport and facility programming, concepts using industry-recognized computer software. Software applications studied may include those used for: word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheet, database management, project management and web page creation. Students develop an understanding of how sport organizations and sport/recreational facilities manage their daily activities such as registrations, league operations, facility scheduling and team management. Students take on the role of a Sport Manager, as they develop sport activities and integrate them into a simulate service delivery environment.
