Course Code
MET332
Course Credit
3

This course introduces students to the past, present, emerging, and future driveline and transmission technologies from the point of view of an engineering technologist involved in vehicle development: research, engineering, design, and testing. While emphasis is placed on passenger car and light truck with variety of current prime mover applications, the course ventures into technology migrations. Hence, the references made and the principles taught are applicable to commercial highway and off-highway vehicles and machinery, motorcycles, and other mechanical engineering technology applications. The system engineering approach to design, which is used in this course, is applicable to all areas of mechanical engineering technology and other disciplines.
