This course introduces the student to technical drawing and design. After an introduction to applied geometry, the student will prepare multi-view two-dimensional drawings of three-dimensional machine parts. Dimensioning and treatment of inclined, oblique and curved surfaces will be covered. Conventions in drawing castings, sectional views and simple tolerancing of machine parts are presented. Thread and fastener representations and simple assembly drawings are also covered.
