This introductory course allows the student to develop proper techniques and practical skills required to work in the landscape horticultural industry. Practical experience in small equipment operations, grounds maintenance, nursery and greenhouse practices will be stressed. Study of these practices and the health and safety related to each will take place in the lab (field) work setting. This hands on course, requires the student to participate in a simulated work environment on campus.
