This classroom-setting course, introduces the student to the proper techniques, procedures and practical skills required to work in the Landscape Construction Industry. Emphasis will be placed upon turf maintenance, installation of turf, and planting and pruning of trees, shrubs and perennials. Examples of proper landscape construction practices will be introduced. Small equipment, general-use tools and trade materials will be introduced. Health and safety practices and procedures related to the profession will also be emphasized.
