This course focuses on the Succession Law Reform Act and Family Law Act as it relates to issues of succession and inheritance. Students learn to apply procedural theory in the area of wills and estate law, including drafting of wills, estate planning documents, court application for the appointment of estate representatives and the processing of the assets of estate for distribution. The course concludes with an examination of Estate accounting, audits and Income Tax Returns.
