This course is designed to acquaint the student with key geographical facts and current economic data for the Western Hemisphere. It will focus on Canada's position in world trade, international organizations, Western Hemisphere trade agreements such as NAFTA and map assignments., Students will gain an understanding of the different components and concepts of geography and how these geographical factors influence the behaviour of organizations in decision making in the international situations. Students, working in groups will undertake various research assignments including a thorough country analysis.
