This course will provide a comprehensive understanding of Enterprise Systems (ES) and their role in organizations. Discussion and application of concepts using a 'real world' scenario will center on key business processes including Sales and Distribution, Procurement, Production, Material Management, Fulfillment, and Warehouse Management. These processes will be discussed in terms of how they are executed and their impact on many business areas including Financial Accounting and Inventory. Particular attention will be given to the integrated nature of all business processes. Throughout this course, students will be inputting data using ERP modules from SAP and will gain knowledge in the use of this software. Through self-reflection at strategic points throughout the semester, students will be able to analyze how their learning using ERP was enhanced and also how improvements would be made to their own learning process.
