This course presents an overview of key management functions that when implemented effectively enable an organization to integrate its' functional areas more readily and thus reach its' operational goals and achieve competitive advantage. Students will learn the importance of developing a Vision and Mission Statement, Strategy, and Plan which provides managers with a context for Planning, Organizing, Leading and Controlling. Students will also learn that while developing strategies for success, managers must consider many contemporary issues including: complex decision making, team development, risk management, and greening of their entire supply chain environment.
