In theory the student will receive a basic introduction in refrigeration systems. Topics include safety, basic hand tools, refrigeration cycle and components, applied math and refrigerant management. In the lab trainees perform projects on flaring, swaging, tube bending, soldering, brazing and leak testing in an environment using standard industry equipment and hand tools on a variety of piping projects related to piping processes found in industry.
