Students will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of the properties, characteristics and safe handling of natural gas and propane, piping and tubing systems, layout and sizing. With a practical hands-on approach in applying concepts learned, in the lab necessary skills will be developed to cut and thread pipe and assemble a variety of piping projects using different piping sizes. Students will pipe in a standard gas furnace and demonstrate safe handling and control knowledge by wiring and firing and a furnace.
