This course will make students aware of the engineering principles supporting safe, energy efficient and profitable greenhouse operations, including greenhouse production, pest control and packing. Students will learn the basics of greenhouse design, engineering economics, regulations and emerging technologies in the greenhouse sector. This is a lecture/lab-based course with individual and group assignments.
