Food service workers are an integral part of a team responsible for looking after the nutritional welfare of clients in various settings such as hospitals, long term care facilities and retirement residences. This Nutrition and Special Diets course fulfills the requirement as stipulated by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Community and Social Services for those who wish to gain certification as a Food Service Worker. The primary focus of the course is on the basic principles of diet therapy, disease conditions that require therapeutic diets and nutritional support needed for treatment.
