This course expands on the theory gained from Structure and Function of the Human Body, providing the basic scientific foundation for understanding the mechanisms by which the body functions during and as a result of exercise. The following concepts and applications will be explored:, the function of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, neural and endocrine responses, energy production and metabolic adaptations and the musculoskeletal system's responses to exercise.
