Students will learn to construct a variety of clothing samples using industrial methods. A combination of lecture and lab sessions will enable students to understand how various construction techniques are used in clothing production. Learning how to safely and efficiently operate industrial equipment, lay out patterns, cut fabric, and plan the construction of a given garment piece will be the focus of this introductory course. By completion of this course, students will have learned how to sew a variety of style details common to skirts and pants.
