This is an online course taught via the Blackboard learning tool designed for the inside sales agent who resides in a call center environment. The course content looks at best practices to promote an awareness of dangers of workplace stress and the necessity for appropriate conflict resolution skills. A great deal of emphasis is placed understanding how conflict develops and what to do about it. There is a specific focus on what appropriate responses are in different situations. The course introduces the concepts of recognizing the role that each of us play in the workplace in regards to mastering the art of resolving conflict peacefully and appropriately. The apprentice is also exposed to effective resolution methods to disengage from conflict in escalating situations. Strategies to manage stress both personally and professionally are also explored.
