In this course the students will gain basic knowledge of the role of nutrition. The student will understand the relationship of nutrition to health, disease and physiology. Students will learn the basic principles of nutrition and the nutritional requirements throughout one's life cycle. The factors involved in delivering nutritious and appealing foods will be stressed through specialized kitchen practices.
