Canada’s first varsity esports program will soon have a new home in a state-of-the-art facility at St. Clair College as part of a $23 million project.
PayPal hires Data Analytics graduate
A graduate of St. Clair’s Data Analytics program now has a job with the global online finance company PayPal.
Girish Chandwani, the newly hired graduate, has started the position of Business Intelligence Developer. Some of the responsibilities include possessing knowledge of various computer programming software and analyzing data of PayPal’s overall performance.
College Students Examine Radiation Therapy Wait Times
Some St. Clair College Data Analytics students have developed an innovative scheduling application to help address wait times for radiation therapy at Windsor Regional Hospital.
Under the direction of Program Coordinator John Ulakovich, data was provided on different types of treatments, their duration and the typical wait times for those treatments in 2019.
St. Clair paramedic alumnus recognized among the bravest in the province
Justin Lammers, an Alumnus of Distinction at St. Clair College, was honoured by the province for his outstanding act of bravery in the face of danger when he saved a swimmer from drowning in 2019.
Media Convergence alumnus receives editing award
St. Clair alumnus and CBC journalist Sanjay Maru has been recognized by the Radio Television Digital News Association for Excellence in Editing.
This is the first regional award for the St. Clair College Media Convergence graduate.
The 26-year-old Windsor native and CBC Windsor Video Producer/Occasional Reporter said it is a tremendous honour and came as a surprise.
Enactus projects win second in national competition
St. Clair’s Enactus team members received second place awards at the recent Enactus National Exposition, a virtual event hosting 61 teams from Canadian colleges and universities. Two projects, InterACT and Endure, placed second in the Enactus Canada National CWB Financial Education Challenge.
Nursing student wins national scholarship
A first-year student at St. Clair College has won a $3000 nationwide scholarship.
Matthew Malandruccolo, a first-year nursing student, was one of 20 who won a scholarship from Retired Teachers of Ontario. They are a health insurance provider for retired teachers across Canada. Requirements involved applicants providing suggestions to improve the lives of seniors.
College to participate in new automobility collaboration
St. Clair College will be a partner in a multi-level effort to establish Canada’s first automobility accelerator in Windsor, with $7.5 million in federal funding announced Wednesday.
Dental clinic now offering free dental services
The Dental Clinic at St. Clair College's main campus in South Windsor is offering free dental services for children and adolescents this Spring/Summer semester (May 10 to July 2).

There's an old saying that suggests that it takes only one facial muscle to smile but dozens to frown.
I'm not sure if that's true, but the sentiment behind it certainly is. It is much, much easier – and healthier, and more human and humane – to be happily accepting of others than it is to expend the needless stress and illogical anger associated with being intolerant of them.
