This course provides students with an introduction to the history theory technology and uses of social media. In this course students will learn about the latest social media technologies and platforms driving purchase decisions examine the strategic use of specific social media platforms and discuss how social media technology has changed marketing and advertising. Students will analyze various digital and social media platforms and tools for developing professional profiles creating professional content engaging and collaborating. Students will learn how to use social media to conduct research increase B2C communication effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for integrating evaluating and planning social media to achieve positive results.
