This course includes both the theory and the practical demonstration of skills associated with advanced cardiac life support, 12 lead ECG, fluid and cardiac drug management, and electrical therapy. The student also learns and applies concepts related to venous access, advanced patient monitoring, invasive pressure monitoring and blood sampling, and analysis of hemodynamic data. Students are expected to apply concepts relative to professionalism, communication, and health and safety throughout the laboratory experience.
