Students learn principles and techniques used to provide care to neonatal and pediatric patients. Unique features of neonatal/pediatric anatomy, physiology, assessment, pathophysiologies, and interventions are addressed in both the classroom and the laboratory setting. Laboratory sessions support the application of theoretical knowledge and the demonstration of relevant and current skills within simulated clinical scenarios that include the opportunity to analyze data and practice decision-making in order to plan and implement appropriate patient care.
