Vapour Compression Systems & Air Conditioning Systems | St. Clair College
Course Code
PSE213
Course Credit
5

This course integrates theoretical concepts with practical applications in topics related to vapour compression and air conditioning systems. Students study the design, layout, principle of operation and maintenance of refrigeration compression, air conditioning, and absorption refrigeration systems used in industry. Students will be able to perform calculations and apply information from the CSA B52. The design and operation of steam, hot water and glycol coils in buildings are covered. Concepts and calculations related to HVAC systems such as psychrometrics, comfort conditions and controls will be the focus of this course as well.
