This course is a continuation of Turf Management I that will deal with advanced practices involved in successful turfgrass maintenance and culture. Through a series of lectures, labs and field studies, the students will re-examine soils, types, infiltration rates, and how this relates to irrigation practices. Components of commercial irrigation systems will be studies. In addition, layout and design techniques of irrigation systems, water auditing and scheduling, trouble shooting and repair. A module of this course will deal directly with appropriate vegetation suitable for golf course.
