A safe work environment is of upmost importance in a salon setting. Through completion of this course, students acquire the knowledge and skills to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHIMIS), and, Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Students will identify and implement methods of sanitation, disinfection, infection control and material disposal to maintain a safe, organized and sanitary workplace.
