This course is a continuation in the study of digital image creation and art direction, and offers students an intensive exploration of photo editing and compositing, with an emphasis on the creative possibilities that software offers to today's graphic designer. Students will explore a variety of industry scenarios to develop, edit, and enhance imagery for print, web, and multimedia display. Topics such as colour grading, advertising effects, and retouching are just some of the practices explored in the class. Students will be challenged with a variety of projects that synthesize and expand upon their foundation in digital imaging to produce clean, professional standard work for portfolio presentation.
