This course is an introduction to the core principals and theories behind the creation and composition of an image. Students explore the application of lens-based technology, light, colour theory and composition in the creation of print and digital executions. Students are introduced to entry level concepts and basic editing procedures for correcting, composing and photo manipulation. Students are provided with a foundation in digital photography to produce clean, professional standard work for portfolio presentation. Various image editing tools and their appropriate use are covered as well.
