An introduction to chemistry, thermodynamics, modes of heat transfer and environmental pollution control as it relates to greenhouse industry. Chemistry theories, applications and calculations related to the properties of matter, atomic structure, chemical bonding, solutions, and stoichiometry will be examined in order to better understand environmental impacts, and pollution prevention strategies. Students will learn how chemistry concepts are applied in greenhouses in order to ensure healthy crop growth.
