In this course, principles of health communication, teaching and learning, and cultural competence, as related to oral health education and care, are studied. An oral health presentation for a community group is planned and delivered. Aspects of familiar and diverse cultures are explored through written reflection and class presentations. Skills needed to educate and provide care to clients of all cultures are developed through case studies.
