This course provides an overview of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Students will examine the cardiovascular system in detail reviewing cardiac function, regulation, electrical conduction, cellular and vascular structure and function and neurohumoral control. Normal embryological development and the relationship to cardiac anomalies and heart defects will be included in course content.
