The digital world is continuing to experience very rapid development. This course introduces students to the impact that Internet communication technologies (ICTs), and more specifically, digital media, has on our lives. We will investigate various aspects of the digital world and how the way we work, play and interact with one another continues to change. Positive and negative consequences will be discussed. In depth examination of how we use digital media to communicate with various audiences, will bring students closer to understanding the broad effect this new world has on our notion of self, body, identity, community and our relationships in general.
