This course is designed to reinforce the study of visual communication particularly motion studies, anatomy and proportion. This course is also an introduction to the study of basic animal anatomy. Emphasis is on rendering the human figure using an intermediate skill level of composition and perspective. Components of the course include tapestry, foreshortening, head studies, rendering and centre of balance. The student will increase his/her interpretive and analytical skills by compiling a portfolio that reflects intermediate drawing skills. In-class lab assignments will be completed using live models, both draped and undraped.
