It was hard not to feel like a kid again as dozens of students from a number of schools across St. Clair College went head-to-head to find out who could build the most structurally sound popsicle stick bridge.
When Sadie Alejandria was a young girl, she always busy doing little woodworking projects with her dad.
"My dad taught me a lot of the basics, and then I was like, well, let's take the leap and do something that I was already interested in and expand my knowledge from hobby-level into a potential career," Alejandria said.
On Friday, April 5th, the Experiential Learning and Career Services Department hosted Nextstar Energy for an employer day held in the lobby of the Ford Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing. Students had the opportunity to network with professionals from Nexstar Energy to learn about available positions for students in Engineering and Skilled Trade programs.
A $2.2M expansion of the robotics lab at St. Clair College will coincide with adding an extra year of study for Electromechanical Engineering Technology - Robotics students in the Fall semester of 2022.
