From motorcycle training to food preparation, community members were invited to St. Clair College's Main South Campus over the weekend to see the various courses available through Continuing Education and Corporate Training at the College.
Discovery Day offered visitors a chance to get a literal taste of the various courses being offered and try their hands at various skills, such as crocheting, sewing, cooking, photography and more.
"The event was full of excitement and curiosity. It was informative and interactive with hands-on activities and live demonstrations," said Tina Papac, the Director of Continuing Education and Corporate Training at the College.
Organizers estimated about 600 people came through over the course of the day for a chance to learn more from program facilitators in the following courses:

"It was an exciting day of discovery and exploration, bringing together people of all ages," said Papac. "Participants heard about new trends and courses to pivot or advance their skills from experts in the field or discovered a new and exciting hobby."
St. Clair College Continuing Education and Corporate Training provides workshops, certificates, and micro-credentials as well as professional development opportunities for new, current, and returning students. There are various online and in-person courses available to fit anyone's schedule.
