The College is excited to announce that construction has commenced on the newest addition to the St. Clair College South Windsor Campus. We always strive to enhance our student experience on campus and cater to all their needs. The latest campus enhancement is a new 16,000 square-foot Welcome Centre which will include a 6,000 square-foot second floor overlooking a beautiful lobby full of greenery and natural light. This facility intends to bring many student services into one central location on campus. The services located within the new addition will include International Services, Registrars kiosks, Student Retention and Academic Achievement offices, Academic Counseling services, and many more.
At the beginning of every semester, we have a "One Stop Shop" event that will bring all services together in one place as we aim to accommodate students to the best of our ability. During these times, this space will be utilized for students to pick up parking passes and student credentials and allow everyone to gain easy access to any service they require. Our new queuing software and kiosks that will be implemented throughout, along with efficient space management, will allow staff and students to avoid long lineups and wait times while seeking the required services.
During the design and construction process, we had to make sacrifices to open land for this important centre. Several trees needed to be removed before construction, and we did our best to relocate certain plantings as they permitted. With the loss of some beautiful mature plantings due to construction, St. Clair College is dedicating time and funding to plant more trees throughout campus this spring, fall and beyond.
