Students will explore the role of key players for events and learn to manage all the stages of successful events. Focus includes overcoming challenges, recognizing opportunities, the importance of documentation, presentation and teamwork skills, and keeping timelines. The student, will learn details of the jobs of the meeting planner, the sales office staff, and the catering and banquet manager. All steps of a convention or event will be discussed, from planning to billing and follow-up. Students will complete a large group project.
