This course introduces the fundamental concepts and applications of an integrated CAD/CAM system. The student will develop fully documented CNC program files using the CAD/CAM system. They will receive hands on experience setting up a 3 axis CNC milling centre, a CNC lathe and a wire EDM machine. The following machining processes will be covered; milling, turning and wire EDM in a 2D/3D environment.
