This course is an introductory study of family violence. The purpose of this course is to examine the history, etiology, impact, prevalence, and services and legislation relate to abuse in the family. The physical, sexual and emotional abuse of children, women, men and the elderly are examined in the context of psychological, social, legal, and cultural diversity.
